A timer tells you when to work; a task list tells you what to work on. This Pomodoro timer has both on the same page. Add your tasks right under the timer, estimate how many pomodoros each one needs, pick the one you're working on and press Start. Every finished session is credited to that task automatically, and the list shows when you'll be done, breaks included. Notes, subtasks, projects and reusable templates are all free, with no account.
How to plan your day in pomodoros
Estimating in pomodoros instead of hours is one of the most useful habits the technique teaches. "Write the report" is vague; "write the report: 4 pomodoros" is a commitment you can check. After a few days you learn how long things really take, and your plans stop being wishful thinking.
- 1Add your tasksType a task under the timer, or paste a whole list: every line becomes a task.
- 2Estimate each oneSet how many 25-minute pomodoros it should take. Big tasks deserve to be split.
- 3Pick one and startClick a task to make it active, then press Start. Its name shows under the timer and in the tab title.
- 4Let the timer countWhen a focus session ends, the task gets +1 pomodoro and the minutes you focused.
- 5Check the finish timeThe summary shows pomodoros done out of planned and the time you'll finish at, breaks included.
Everything a Pomodoro to-do list needs, for free
Many Pomodoro apps keep the useful parts behind an account or a subscription. Here, every task feature is free and works right away:
- Pomodoro estimates and actual counts per task, editable at any time.
- Notes on each task for links, context or the first step to take.
- Subtasks: a small checklist that stays visible while you work on the task.
- Projects with colours, a filter per project and your focus time per project in the stats.
- Templates: save a list you repeat (morning routine, weekly review, revision plan) and add it again in one click.
- Auto-check: optionally tick a task off as soon as it reaches its estimate.
- Drag and drop to reorder, hide finished tasks, reset the counters or clear the list, with an undo.
See where your focus time goes
Every session is saved with the task and project it was spent on. The stats panel shows the time per project and your top tasks over the last week, month or all time, and the session history lists every pomodoro with its start and end time. You can add a session you forgot to time, delete one started by mistake, or export everything to a CSV file for your timesheet or spreadsheet.
Nothing is sent to a server: your tasks and history stay in your browser, and you can export them to move to another device.
Tips for a to-do list that actually gets done
- Limit today's list to what fits in your daily goal. Eight to twelve pomodoros is a full, realistic day for most people.
- Split anything estimated above 4 pomodoros into smaller tasks with a clear end.
- Put the hardest task first, while your energy is high.
- Write interruptions down as new tasks instead of acting on them mid-session.
- Compare estimates with actual pomodoros at the end of the day: the gap is where your planning improves.
How the Pomodoro timer works
Four simple steps. No account, nothing to install: it runs right here in your browser.
- 11
Pick what to work on
Add a task and estimate how many pomodoros it needs. The active task is credited automatically when a session ends.
- 22
Start the timer
Press Start (or the Space bar) and give the task your full attention until the bell rings.
- 33
Take a real break
Step away from the screen for 5 minutes. Stretch, drink some water, rest your eyes.
- 44
Repeat, then rest longer
After four pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. Your stats and streak update on their own.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add tasks to the Pomodoro timer?
Yes. The task list sits right under the timer (and in the Tasks panel). Add a task, set the number of pomodoros it needs and click it to make it active: each finished focus session is credited to it automatically.
How do I add several tasks at once?
Paste a list into the task field, one task per line, or use "Add a list of tasks" in the task menu. Bullets and numbers are removed automatically.
What are task templates?
A template is a saved list of tasks you use often, such as a morning routine or a weekly review. Save the current list as a template, then add it again later in one click. Templates are free and unlimited.
Can I track time per project?
Yes. Give tasks a project, and the stats panel shows how much focus time went into each project and task, for the last 7 or 30 days or all time. You can also export every session to CSV.
Do I need an account to save my tasks?
No. Tasks, projects, templates and your history are saved in your browser automatically. Export your data from the stats panel if you want to move it to another device.
