The retro split-flap look, with the brains of a modern Pomodoro timer. The digits above flip like an old train-station board as your focus session counts down, and switch to your break when it ends. Press F for fullscreen and it turns any screen, laptop or tablet into a calm desk clock for studying or working.
A flip clock that is also a focus timer
Flip clocks are popular on study-with-me streams and desk setups because the digits are huge, easy to read from across the room and oddly satisfying to watch. This one is a complete Pomodoro timer: 25-minute focus sessions, 5-minute breaks and a longer break every four rounds, with the round shown under the cards.
You can switch to any other rhythm (50/10, 52/17, 90/20 or your own durations) from the preset menu, or use it as a simple countdown from the countdown timer pages. The flip style stays on until you pick another clock in the settings.
Make it your desk clock
- 1Go fullscreenPress F or the fullscreen button. The interface fades out after a few seconds without moving the mouse.
- 2Choose light or darkDark cards on a dark background for the evening, light cards for a bright desk.
- 3Add a scene or an effectPut the flip clock over a photo, your own picture or falling snow from the Scene panel.
- 4Keep the screen awakeWhile the timer runs, it asks your device to keep the screen on, so a tablet on a stand won't go to sleep.
Other clock styles
Prefer something else? The settings offer four clock faces for the same timer: the classic dial with a progress ring, the flip clock, a minimal display with thin digits, and a kitchen timer whose coloured disc shrinks as time passes, like the visual timers used in classrooms. Each one works with every preset, in the floating mini timer and in fullscreen.
How the Pomodoro timer works
Four simple steps. No account, nothing to install: it runs right here in your browser.
- 11
Pick what to work on
Add a task and estimate how many pomodoros it needs. The active task is credited automatically when a session ends.
- 22
Start the timer
Press Start (or the Space bar) and give the task your full attention until the bell rings.
- 33
Take a real break
Step away from the screen for 5 minutes. Stretch, drink some water, rest your eyes.
- 44
Repeat, then rest longer
After four pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. Your stats and streak update on their own.
